Japan Discover The Extreme Radiation in Reactor 2

HOT NEWS - Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco) reported on the existence of very high-level radioactive detection in the water at reactor unit 2. Radioactive which tracked 10 million times more than the normal threshold of reactor operation.

As quoted from NHK, Sunday, March 27, 2011,.Tepco explain this radiation levels reached 2.9 billion becquerels in one cubic centimeter of water in the basement of the turbine building which attached to the reactor number 2

Contamination level is about 1000 times higher than the radiation leak in the reactor number 1 and 3 at the basement . Tepco adding, the radioactive material wich was detected, including 2.9 billion becquerels of iodine 134, iodine 131 becquerels 13 million, and 2.3 million becquerels, of each of cesium 134 and 137

This material emitted during the process of nuclear fission in the reactor core. It's Estimated that contaminated water was coming from the reactor core was damaged, and they were finding out how the leaks can occur.

A Graduate from the University of Tokyo, Naoto Sekimura said, the leak may arise from retaining space (suppression chamber) reactor number 2. This space is designed to accommodate the reactor radioactive.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Science of Japan found high-levels radiation detected in the areas that were located more than 30 kilometers from the Fukushima Daichi plant. The height of this radiation over from the annual threshold limit that can be faced by ordinary citizens.
